Many times at 3° we print objects that we never get to see in use. Often we only get a drawing ready to go – we print, send it off and never see what it will be used for!
Here are some people that used one of our 3D printed items in a very cool way.
We printed the roto-cam mount for Secretspy that he mounted on his SkyHunter plane to create some amazing First Person Video.
Here is an excerpt from his post on YouTube:

“Most FPV videos seem to lack of something of interest in the foreground… let alone THE real item of interest: the aircraft itself! Inspired by the “RotoR” mount that was developed for motorcyclists and skiers, I’d never seen something like that done before on an airplane…so I decided to give it a try. It affected the airplane’s pitch stability a little, but nothing the SkyHunter can’t handle! It has a continuous rotation servo that can be turned on in-flight to rotate the cameras around the airplane.”
Thank you to Superspy for letting us in on his project and following up with us so that we could see our 3D printed item in action.
