Never a Dull moment…
Here at 3Degrees its never the same day twice, but even we were surprised to be asked to recreate some 1959 DeSoto Automotive Lenses. 58 year old DeSoto parts are hard to come by these days so our client had just one original example for us to work from and needed a total of 6 lenses in two different styles. Utilizing our new capabilities in cold casting we were able to create a silicone mold of the original DeSoto automotive lenses and housing. From there we cast the parts using some special “water clear” resins. Added a little clever reverse painting to the bezels and PRESTO! Brand new headlights that are a dead ringer for the factory original automotive lenses
