We were recently contacted by the guys over at Panzerfabrik, (these guys build by hand historically accurate fully functional replicas of WWII German armor) about 3-D printing a full scale Panzer IV muzzle brake, the 3D model is to be used to aid in the machining of the final metal part. Naturally we were stoked! So Taylor got busy in the build lab and the results are shown here. By 3-D printing standards this is a HUGE part, it was printed in 3 pieces (click on large image above to view a time lapse video of the middle piece being printed) and assembled after the fact.
